THE LANGUAGE OF THE EYE

There is a beautiful saying by the Japanese, ''Crying is the way the eye communicates''. Although it is just a saying, these words pull you deep down to your core and make you ponder. Men are often counseled by yet another saying, ''You're a man, don't cry!''. Women on the other hand are often reprimanded with, "Stop being a crybaby! Don't be so weak and pathetic! Is that all you know to do?''. Stop it! Crying is not a crime. It is simply the way our untold emotions are let out. Be it men or women, both are humane. And both have feelings. We shouldn’t create a stigma over it. Especially with a gender partition.

Not every day can be a day where you can shine. Some days are just not it. You are a human. Not a robot. When you’re feeling down, it's okay to not give your all. It’s absolutely fine to cry. It’s okay to not be okay. People cry not because of their weakness but because they have been trying to be strong all this while and give it their all. Don’t ever be ashamed to weep. Tears are just water droplets. They come from inside you, from inside your heart. They cleanse your heart by exploding with all those untold emotions. Your eyes just use them to do what your voice couldn’t do.

Where there is darkness, there is light. Hence, if today your life is filled with sadness, tomorrow a rainbow will appear. So don’t ever think that you are alone in your days of darkness. The painful memories that life gave you will always be kept sealed in your heart. And a wounded heart will heal with time.

Every individual is unique. Every person is different. But one thing that connects us is how we show our emotions. Laugh as loudly as you want and wail as much as you want. Everybody can be happy, but it takes a real person to show vulnerability. Talk to people who make you comfortable, cry in their arms, and get a hug if you wish to. Because, at the end of the day, you are youtiful. And only you can be you!
