Music - a universal language that everyone can understand. It has no language barriers. When we feel down, we immediately tune into some depressing song and cry our hearts out. When we are thrilled and excited, hip-hop does the trick. At some point in life, music has acted as a partner, understanding our emotions. Music is also used in various therapy sessions in order to heal the soul.

Music is an emotion, whether it's the lyrics of a song, the music accompanying it, the vocals behind the song, or the instruments that stole the limelight, music touches the soul in an unexplainable way. A lot of effort goes behind a song. And of each these songs deserve recognition. Over the years, the world of music has underwent a lot of changes. From classics to Korean Pop, music continues to enthrall its audience as always. 

The concept of not understanding a foreign song is completely unacceptable. As mentioned before, music is a universal language. Whatever language a song is in, the emotion behind it can be understood by even an illiterate person. While the lyrics do play a very important part in giving meaning to a song, it is the singer who does most of the work by giving the song a soul of its own. Hence, the vocals are definitely the first to get recognised. 

But expert music lovers, pay a lot of attention to the music (rhythm) of the song. The beat or the rhythm that accompanies the vocals form a link between the vocals and the lyrics creating a mesmerising tune. The lyrics too, mean a lot to every listener. Many people love certain songs simply because they understand the core of the song and can associate with it. 

Music is a truly astonishing companion. Sometimes, it even acts as an escape from reality for certain individuals, by creating a world of their own - their own happy place. And it is staunch, it will always be there by your side. So next time you don’t find anyone to comfort you while you’re down, or to celebrate with you in your victory, you know who to seek.
